Screen captures from Remote Learning Resources created by Teaching Artists
Dear Friends & Neighbors,

We want to take a moment to reach out to all our Friends of 187 families to say we are wishing you all the best in this chaotic time. Especially in times like these, art is healing and allows us to cope while accessing our creativity. Our resident teaching artists have used this time to continue connecting with the students and share the profound joy of creativity. Check out our Remote Learning page to see some beautiful pieces that were recently created.

We are proud to share these resources created by our resident teaching artists at friendsof187.org and hope that you find them useful, enlightening, and even inspiring. We welcome your creative resource
contributions to our Facebook page as well and hope that we can continue our Friends of 187 community together, from afar.

Warmly,
Andrea Martinsen & Erica Malko
Co-Presidents

This is my first recorded lesson for my 4th grade class at an NYC public school. I didn’t get a chance to meet the 4th graders before the pandemic, so my teaching residency will be accomplished digitally.
