Support Friends of 187 on #GivingTuesday

Dear Friend,
 
#GivingTuesday is here! Please consider joining this nation-wide movement that provides an opportunity to give back. Any gift to Friends of 187 can make a big difference to our students by helping to raise funds that support high-quality, in-person arts programming for all grades at 187, as well as art supplies and instruments to support our art and music curriculum. Friends is completely volunteer run and operates solely on donations from the community. 
 
Every dollar received goes directly back to the school and allows Friends to:

• Provide enriching in-person programming led by expert teaching artists 
• Offer unique and culturally specific showcases and presentations
• Support gaps in the school’s budget. This year, Friends of 187 has purchased new alto saxophones, flutes and trumpets so each and every student has the opportunity to enjoy music classes in school. 

 
Here’s how you can help Support the Arts!

1. Make your donation and consider a monthly recurring gift.
2. Check with your company to see if they have a matching gift program. Your gift to Friends of 187 could be doubled! 
3. Forward this email! The Friends email list does NOT reach everyone in the 187 community. Please help us by forwarding this email to your friends and relatives!

Even if you aren’t able to make a donation today, please stop by the PTO’s Holiday Tree Sale in the 187 school yard on Sunday, December 10th. Friends of 187 will be hosting a merch table and activities - and an opportunity to donate in-person.
