Are you part of the PTO?
PS/IS 187 is fortunate to have two fundraising organizations to support its students. The PTO hosts several events throughout the year and they specifically pay for the teachers mini grants, after school programs, professional development, classroom equipment and supplies. Together, Friends of 187 and the PTO work as partners to fund a variety of programs for all the children of our school.
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes.
Why should I give to Friends of 187?
Learning through visual arts, music, drama, and creative writing inspires our children, giving them a platform to creatively express themselves and hone their critical thinking skills. Your donation to friends of 187 directly impacts every PS/IS 187 student with programs that support this and would not be possible without the funds needed.
How much should I give?
Some schools ask for support in the range of $1,000 - $1,200 per child per year. Any level that you can do supports the engaging and enriching learning your child (and every child at PS/IS 187) receives, and is very much appreciated.
What is an F-status teacher?
